melinaisstillakid asked: Do you think that when the construction is done and when/if the economy gets better, Disney will stop making cuts? I did the DCP in Fall 2010 (and going again this fall). Even then they were cutting some characters from meet and greets like Mushu and Jose Carioca from Epcot :-( Not that Disney isn't still magical, I just hope they can bring more of it back in the future. :-)

Anonymous asked: But that's just it, isn't it? As long as guests still find it magical, isn't that all that matters? There's nothing to really be done about budget cuts. It's just how this country is right now. It just makes it that much more important for the Cast Members to create extra magic to try to compensate for what budget cuts have taken away. And who knows, maybe once the economy...
Anonymous asked: omg the yeti. I wish they'd fix that. I heard though that the only way to fix it is to deconstruct the mountain because the yeti moving caused some structural damage or something so they don't run it. No idea how true that is though. There's a lot of rumors out there about the yeti and why they don't fix it.

gilove2dance asked: I feel sad about Disney Parks cuts. I know it's cause the American economy is so bad right now and people can't always afford to go so there is less money going into the parks and then with all the expansions in the new Fantasyland and Carsland in CA...I just don't want them to get shut down EVER! So if that means cuts, so be it.

colinodonoqhues asked: The magic of Disney is still there despite the budget cuts. I'm an Alumni of the Disney College Program from 2010 and I'm going back this August for another term. Just because they are trying to cut back doesn't mean the magic is gone. If they take away Tink from flying during Wishes, then the Magic will be almost gone, haha.

Disney went SO crazy on the past anniversaries (like the car giveaways for the 15th, the cake castle for 20 or 25...) but for 40? Buttons and park maps. Buttons that were gone within the first 2 hours of the park being opened... and park maps that more than likely were thrown away more than anything. Epcots 30th is this year so maybe...

you know what im dissapointed about? every disney anniversary the cast members would all get special name tags to wear for that anniversary….40 years just passed at disney world last year and they didnt do any nametags…budget cuts suck big time. I hate seeing the magic slowly running out
brehavoc asked: My goodness anon! I'm not even a cast member and I know how precious those things are. I work at Home Depot and I have pins on my apron. The backs are ALWAYS falling off so when someone looses a Home Depot pin back there and I find it I get SO excited!
